​This is a basic, no frills waxing kit which, at less than $20 provides good value for money.

In comparison to the average salon price for waxing​ of between $25 and $90 per session depending on area being treated, it is easy to see the massive savings to be made.

Ease of Use

​Prior to waxing ensure skin is perfectly clean and dry and apply a thin layer of powder. There are a number of proprietary pre-epilation powders on the market, but any sensitive, fragrance free talcum powder will do fine.

If you have never used wax before, the manufacturers recommend that hair be at least 1/2" in length.  For future treatments, 1/4" should be sufficient.

Once the wax is at the correct consistency, the spatula can be used to gently stir thoroughly to create a smooth, even consistency and then apply a very thin layer of was to the treatment area, in the direction in which the hair is growing.

The waxing strip should be applied immediately over the wax in the same direction as hair growth and smoothed down firmly, also in the same direction using the palm of the hand.

​The strip should be pulled off in the opposite direction in one quick, smooth movement, whilst holding the skin taught with the other hand.

Finally, the area should be wiped clean with the cleansing towelettes provided.​

How Painful is it?

Inevitably, there is a certain amount of pain involved in waxing, as the hair is pulled out at the roots​.  However, with the  hundreds of different waxing products on the market, it is clear that the gain is worth the pain for thousands in the USA alone.
