Product Overview

Especially created for dry and/or sensitive skin, the Roll On Milk and Honey Women Wax by Nair is an easy to apply sugar wax that comes in the form of a non-messy roll on applicator.

The bottle heats up quickly in the microwave and the wax coats the hair on the body in one swipe. While gentle on the skin, it is tough on hairs and, when used correctly, removes the hair from the root for hair-free skin for up to 4 weeks.

As the ingredients are composed of mainly sugar, the wax can be rinsed off with water and does not leave any stickiness after cleansing.

Within minutes you can achieve smooth skin. The product comes with 10 cloth strips that can be washed and reused, and the applicator can be rinsed under running water for a quick clean until the next use.

Roll On Milk and Honey Women Wax by Nair retails for less than $15 and can be purchased in some stores and at large retailers online (see below for more information).

How Does it Work?

The great part about the Roll On Milk and Honey Women Wax by Nair is that it is so easy to use. You literally take it out of the packaging, remove the safety plug, pop it in the microwave for 15 seconds and it’s ready to use.

For an optimum waxing experience it is better to have clean, dry skin, with a dusting of baby powder on it, as this helps the wax adhere to the hairs better.

Once the wax has been warmed up and the area of skin prepared, roll a thin coating of wax over the skin, apply one of the cotton strips firmly to the wax and pull away against the grain (growth of the hair) with a steady hand.

It’s important to keep a steady hand and to pull firmly as you do not want to irritate the skin by going over the same area multiple times. It may take a few tries to get your technique down correctly.

Once you have removed the hair you can wash off any excess wax with water, pat the skin dry and apply a moisturizer.

While the wax itself contains moisturizers, it’s always best to keep the skin as hydrated as possible.

Another tip is to make sure that your skin is regularly exfoliated, as this always helps avoid ingrown hairs and other irritations caused by waxing.

Both the applicator and the cotton strips can be rinsed with water and put away for next time. Once you have finished the wax in the applicator it will need to be discarded and a new one purchased – the applicator is not reusable.

Below you can see a video that demonstrates the correct use of the wax product.

Possible Side Effects

As with any home waxing products there are several possible side effects, but nothing that cannot be avoided if used properly.

It is important to follow all instructions correctly and to not overheat the wax. If the wax is too hot you risk burning your skin.

Waxing tends to be a little painful as you are pulling hair from the skin, so it is always best to test a small area first to make sure you can tolerate it.

Other side effects are ingrown hairs and unsightly bumps on the skin. These can be avoided by following simple everyday steps to maintain the skin as exfoliated and moisturized as much as possible.

Other than these possible effects, if all instructions are followed correctly you can expect to obtain hair-free skin for up to 4 weeks. This product is not to be used on the face or neck.

Is It Effective?

Roll On Milk and Honey Women Wax by Nair is a good product for use at home. It’s great for those who don’t usually wax at home and are not ready to invest in a full waxing kit, as it is cheap, easy to use and not messy at all.

The handy roll on applicator dispenses the wax easily ad evenly across the skin and the handy cotton strips can be reused.

The applicator also makes it easier to access areas such as the bikini line and under the arms. You may find that it leaves a few straggling hairs, but nothing that another quick pass cannot fix.

If you find that you are not removing hairs correctly it may be because you are not pressing the cloth strip down on the wax firmly enough or you are not pulling with a steady and strong hand.

It is best to start on the legs to get a good feel for the product and for which technique works best for you.

What Customers Think (Reviews)

Roll On Milk and Honey Women Wax by Nair has a 4 out of 5 star review on Amazon which is pretty much on par with the ease of use and efficacy of the product.

Reviews mainly praise the ease of use, how clean it is and that it’s a great product for beginners. Some customers complain that it leaves some straggling hairs on areas such as the knees and underarms.

All in all the reviews are positive. The main issue that people in the US have been complaining about is that the Milk and Honey version is now only available online and not directly in drugstores and Target anymore.

It would be nice to see this come back (the Spa Clay version can still be purchased in stores).

Some Customer Comments

"Excellent for beginners. First experience with DIY waxing so I started out with these. It did a good job, although hard wax would probably be more thorough, I was pleased with this."

"Easy to use and to keep my work area clean. Easy to use and to keep my work area clean. Works like a charm to remove hair from my legs."

Personal Experience

Very easy to apply and works great on the legs! A little more tricky to use on the armpits as it requires more patience and practice.
