- Veet Ready-to-Use Wax Strips Hair Remover, Bikini, Underarms & Face comes with 12 face wax strips, 8 bikini and underarm strips and 4 post-wax/finishing wipes
Product Overview
Veet’s cold wax strips are unlike other brands of cold wax strips as they contain a special HairCoating Technology that turns the wax to liquid when applied to the skin. The wax coats all hair, even those as short as 2 mm, and pulls them out from the root, leaving skin hair-free and smooth.
The strips can be cut into different shapes if needed and there is no preparation required before using them.
You just need to make sure the skin is clean and dry, rub the strips between your palms for a few seconds before separating them, and apply to the skin.
Each strip should be removed with one swift movement, going against the grain of the hair, and can be reused until they stop adhering to the skin (usually after 3-5 uses).
Once the area has been treated any excess wax can be removed with one of the finishing waxes. For an even more efficient wax we recommend dusting the area to be treated with talcum powder before waxing.
This helps the wax adhere to the hairs even more efficiently. The legs and body strips contain a regular formula wax and the bikini, underarms and face strips are made from a sensitive skin formula.

Results and Possible Side Effects
Veet claims to leave the treated area hair-free for up to 4 weeks. The average you can expect is about 3-4 weeks, maybe a little longer on areas like the arms and a little shorter on the face.
If you have never used Veet’s wax strips before it is recommended to do a skin test on the legs before you treat a whole area of the body. A normal reaction is a slight redness that may last up to an hour after treatment.
Anything that lasts longer, or is painful, can be a sign of irritation and allergy and treatment should not be pursued. One should consult a doctor if a lasting burning sensation occurs.
Are They Effective?
On a general note, yes, Veet’s wax strips are highly effective and the best cold wax strips on the market right now.
With a formula that works on really short and fine hairs and results that last up to 4 weeks they are a great alternative to warm wax as they require no preparation time whatsoever.
They are also super affordable: at less than $15 for 40 strips you have more than enough to wax several areas multiple times. That said, cold wax strips are not for everyone.
While easy to apply, they are not always as easy to pull off, and if you are not fast enough you may end up with a leg full of hair and sticky wax.
Cold wax is also a little bit more painful than warm or hot wax is, and it’s not always that easy to build up the confidence to do it at home.
This is why it is always better to start with a less sensitive area like the legs and work your way up towards the underarms and face. When applied and removed correctly Veet’s wax strips work just as well as a wax in a salon, or a salon-type warm wax at home.
The added plus is that they are so much less messy and are a great product to have in your bathroom cabinet or travel bag for quick touch ups and wax jobs on the fly.
What Customers Think (reviews)
Veet’s wax strips have a 3.6 out of 5 star rating on Amazon with reviews hovering between customers loving how easy they are to use and how well they work and others stating that they were not as effective as a salon wax or didn’t work well enough.
Some Customer Comments
“Great product. Veet is a great hair removal product and I am quite satisfied with its performance. I will purchase this product in the future”
“These pull out superficial, light colored hairs. Not comparable to a real wax. I'll keep the box on hand in case I find myself in need of an easy quick fix. Do not plan on rebuying,”
Personal Experience
I personally love how easy to use the wax strips are. I had no problem waxing my legs with them, even though it did take about an hour. The facial strips are the perfect size and I was able to do my upper lip in two strokes.
I did have some redness for about an hour afterwards on my upper lip, but nothing a little aloe gel didn’t soothe.
Both my legs and upper lip were smooth for about 3 weeks, so it was definitely worth it. I didn’t have such a great experience on my underarms.
Even though I used baby powder on the area before applying the strip, I must have done something wrong as the strip barely pulled any hair off, even though I tried it from several different angles.
Underarms are tricky anyway, so I will be leaving those to the professional for now!
I didn’t try the strips on my eyebrows as I was too worried about my own ability to wax them, but I am sure with a little practice they are very effective.
All in all, I like having this product in my bathroom and it’s a great alternative to shaving, especially in the summer when you want to have smooth skin without having to worry about hairs growing back within days.
While more affordable than a visit to the salon, I do think that I would rather pay the salon price for areas such as my eyebrows and bikini line.
In Conclusion…

When I removed the strip it left a lot is stickness and I can’t get it off what do u sujest I do i used veet wax strips they came with no wipes
Hi Trisha – cotton wool soaked in oil should do the trick, any oil e.g. baby oil, olive oil or mineral oil is fine, as well as being lovely and gentle on the skin.
